about the Čapí hnízdo
How was it allČapí hnízdo is a unique resort that offers representative facilities for conferences, meetings or corporate/social events and a well-deserved rest in beautiful nature.
Transformation of Semtín Manor into the Čapí hnízdo Resort
However, by the order of the authorities at that time, a court called Nový Dvůr Semtín grew up here again, to which some land of the settlements Semtín and Semtínek were added. In total, the Semtín Court owned 136 ha. The original agricultural activities of the farm were enriched by the distillery established in 1875. However, the locals did not enjoy the prosperity for long. The twentieth century was not favourable to development. The farm began to deteriorate over time and by the turn of the millennium it was not used at all.
In 2006, work began on a project to comprehensively renovate the entire site, including the buildings, with the clear brief to create facilities for superior accommodation, corporate events and leisure activities in a sensitive manner that would be in keeping with the character of the landscape. Four years later the refurbishment was successfully completed.
The dominant feature is the modern riding hall, which evokes a heron's nest. The herons, which have been resident here since 1926, return every year from Africa. When building our resort, the primary goal was to create a unique place where guests would love to return. A place where they can spend time in complete harmony with nature and the surrounding landscape.
The Riding School has won numerous awards, including a nomination for Building of the Year 2010, and was also in the top ten of the 2011 World Architecture Festival in Barcelona.
